About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team in Gardner, MA. The ideal candidate will create an inclusive learning environment, provide individualized instruction, and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to help students achieve academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Adapt general education lessons to meet the requirements of students with special needs.
- Create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and parents.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Support students in both academic and social-emotional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Special Education (or eligibility).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
